Ballade for Windows software sequencer capably handles 16 different musical parts. Mouse-driven operation allows anyone to easily create songs, without instrument skills. You just paste notes onto the staff notation. Instrument players can also record performance data in real time from MIDI equipment. Including full editing and score printing capability, Ballade for Windows is an ideal software sequencer for any application.
RECORDING
Making songs is now easier, even without music and instrument knowledge or skills. Select real-time input to directly record your performance from a MIDI keyboard or instrument. Or specify intervals or chords to be recorded a step at a time with step input. Or use your mouse to paste notes onto staff notation.
EDIT WINDOW
As well as cut and paste, various other editing functions are featured. Phrases or rhythm data in a song's structure can be saved or loaded as patterns. You can punch-in and out during real-time recording. And of course, a quantize function is included.
PIANO ROLL WINDOW
A piano roll screen graphically displays performance data you've recorded -- interval and note length correspond to the keys you pressed. Use this along with the score display to easily create or edit songs in any environment.
MIXER WINDOW
The mixer screen shows 15 performance tracks and a rhythm track and looks similar to a studio mixing console. Convenient mouse-driven control controls each track's level and panning as well as reverb and chorus effects.
PAGE VIEW SCREEN/PRINTING
Scores can be printed out in various styles, all with high quality. The Page View window shows the scores for each or all parts of the song you've created.
SMF COMPATIBILITY
Ballade for Windows loads (format 0/1) and saves (format 1) Standard MIDI File data, allowing you to edit data from other sequencing software or to play back commercial SMF music data.
